Basic secured documents
(DRM) files do not require authorization in order to open and/or print them. Each DRM document published can be supplied
to any number of individuals without additional cost. If you wish to publish
such files without limits to the number of times they can be viewed
or to specify that they can only be viewed by selected pre-registered Drumlin users (User specific DRMs),
a software license must be purchased (see License Edition comparison
table, below; to order select: Order form for Software Licenses and
upgrades). All license fees include an initial quota specifying how
many documents can be published. Additional quota units can be purchased separately
if required (to order select: Order form for additional DRM quota
units).
Fully secured (DRMX)
files
require
an authorization code to enable them for reading/printing (they are converted
to DRM files and locked to the user's PC settings). This is the strongest security
we provide and does not require the user to have pre-registered with
the Drumlin service. A Standard, Pro or Pro+ software license purchase is required
by the publisher for this option - publishers are recommended to order
a Drumlin Pro or Pro Plus Edition license to take advantage of
the extra functionality and codes provided with these versions of the software.
Additional DRMX Authorization codes can be purchased (to order select: Order form for DRMX authorization
codes)
