SYSTEM
REQUIREMENTS: The
Drumlin reader/publisher program is designed for use on Windows 2000 and later
versions of the Windows operating system. Support is provided for Apple MAC
users who have Windows support installed (i.e. software that enables them to run
Windows applications - many low-cost packages are available - see our Apple Mac
page
for more details). Drumlin makes use of the Microsoft .NET2 framework
and if components of this framework are missing from your installation it will
attempt to retrieve these from Microsoft's web site and install the necessary
components. For this reason we suggest you install the software whilst you have
an active Internet connection. To obtain the Microsoft .NET2 framework as a
stand-alone kit, if required, please click here. To view the System Requirements for .NET2 please

The Drumlin reader/publisher is provided as a zip file which is roughly 6Mb - approximately 25% of the size of other well-known PDF readers and much smaller than packages with comparable functionality. The zip file contains two files, setup.exe and a Microsoft Install file, .msi - extract these two files to a temporary directory and run setup.exe - you will be guided through the installation process. Installation creates a Drumlin Security directory and subdirectories occupying approximately 10Mb of disk space. The Drumlin program itself is small and fast, and does not load any add-ins other than the Microsoft .NET2 framework.
