About Drumlin and this website
DRUMLIN stands for "Digital Rights, User Management and LIceNsing". The Drumlin Reader/Publisher product and associated service aims to provide secure PDF document distribution for individuals, corporates and publishing enterprises. It is operated using USA- and UK-based computer server farms in secure datacentres.
Our software products are provided free of charge. Where users wish to take advantage of services, such as software development, usage of the DRM service, consultancy etc., charges are made as described on theStorepage. Drumlin Security Ltd aims to operate as a not-for-profit enterprise, so we invest any receipts or donations we receive into the continuing provision of the service and the ongoing development and support of the product set. We believe that secure publishing should be simple, cheap and in the best interests of both publisher and end customer. By its very nature electronic publishing attracts a range of views on its value and justification, and it must always be seen as primarily a form of copyright protection - a deterrent to copyright abuse. We are very grateful to publishers and end users for their assistance with our project, particularly in suggesting new functionality, identifying flaws and faults, and helping us with multi-language translations!
Drumlin is a family of product and services from Drumlin Security Ltd, an independent publishing business working on a not-for-profit business model whose formation dates back to 2006 when "The Winchelsea Press" was founded.
Feedback: We rely heavily on our users for feedback on technical problems with installation, operation of the software, functionality and possible security issues.
